BatamFast Ferry officially opened its new passenger counter at Sekupang Ferry Terminal, Batam, on 29 July 2026. The grand opening ceremony, held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, marked another milestone in BatamFast’s ongoing commitment to improving passenger comfort and delivering a smoother ferry travel experience.
The new counter is now open daily from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The new BatamFast counter was designed to provide passengers with a more comfortable experience when travelling through Sekupang Ferry Terminal.
Featuring a modern and refreshed look, the counter reflects BatamFast’s continued efforts to improve its customer-facing facilities and create a more welcoming environment for both local and international passengers.
The upgraded counter provides passengers with a convenient point of assistance before their ferry journey, helping to make the overall travel process more organised, efficient, and comfortable.

The opening of the new counter represents another important milestone in BatamFast Ferry’s long-standing journey of serving passengers.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Chua said:

For more than four decades, BatamFast has continued to support ferry travel and connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore. The new counter at Sekupang Ferry Terminal further demonstrates the company’s commitment to enhancing passenger facilities and service quality.
Grand Opening Ceremony at Sekupang Ferry Terminal
The official opening ceremony featured several formal and traditional activities attended by BatamFast management representatives and representatives from Sekupang Ferry Terminal.
The event included:
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony
- A traditional tumpeng ceremony
- Promotional activities for passengers
- A Spin the Wheel game with attractive prizes
The tumpeng ceremony was led by Mr. Paul Gannaway (CEO of Batamfast), while the ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Mr. Paul, Mr. Chua CL (General Manager of Batamfast), and representatives from Sekupang Ferry Terminal.
These activities officially marked the opening of the new BatamFast counter and the beginning of its daily operations.
Special Opening-Day Promotions
To celebrate the opening, BatamFast organised several special activities for passengers visiting the counter on 29 July 2026.
Passengers who left a Google Maps review for BatamFast Sekupang were eligible to receive a complimentary beverage voucher from partner merchant Coffee One.
Passengers who purchased ferry tickets on the opening date also had the opportunity to participate in a Spin the Wheel game and win attractive prizes.
The promotional activities helped create an engaging atmosphere while giving passengers the opportunity to celebrate the opening together with the BatamFast team.

The new BatamFast counter at Sekupang Ferry Terminal is now open according to the following schedule:
Daily: 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The operating hours are designed to accommodate passengers travelling on early morning and afternoon ferry departures.
Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the terminal early and allow sufficient time to complete ticketing, travel-document checks, immigration procedures, and boarding.
